narwhal

we have only recently become aware of the magical horn of the narwhal. most cool is the fact that NPR just did a segment on the precious tusk. too bad our mac can't play the audio, but maybe you can listen in.

when we were just a little girl, we had a typical fascination with all things unicorn. in fact, our first published poem (which appeared in our middle school yearbook) mentioned the mythical white beast as an icon of whiteness. another example of pure blankness was "all of the pages in an old woman's diary." we must admit that won't be us. but poetic license leaves room for interpretation.
